Chicago Public Schools lacked visibility into its software assets across 130,000 devices, leading to decentralized purchasing and security risks. By using Rationalization Manager to identify 29,000 applications and older versions of Internet Explorer, the school district was able to reduce software purchases, negotiate better contracts, lower cybersecurity risks, and save over 192 staff hours per year. The new insights allowed them to streamline operations and optimize spending.

Paul has been with the CPS for almost 10 years As a System Engineer • Work with schools to migrate their servers and data to new hardware. • Solely responsible for creating and maintaining the windows images that are used for new and existing hardware. He implemented a VDI solution saving the school 1/3 of the cost of implementing physical machines. • Package and distribute software using Flexera Admin Studio and Microsoft SCCM 2012r2 • Work to take down silos that exist with our central office and school based personal by building community with technology field staff. He handled all of the technology purchases as well as contracts for the school to make sure the school receives the best investment for the lowest dollar.
