Self-Service Rules
• user has the „download for today“ button if:
• the material is either
• her/his own departement and rights-code is not on the blacklist
• foreign departement and rights-code is on the whitelist
• not longer than one hour in one piece
• user still under the daily download-limit of 6 hrs
• furthermore: if material is longer than 10 minutes -> lowest priority
• otherwise
• download for the next day (if quotas are exceeded)
• route request to the archive to be handled during office hours (in any case if
restrictions apply)
• self-service restrictions save material from misuse and ESYS from overload
• timely ordering
• careful selection (amount and licenses)
