Monika Polťáková studied Norwegian at Telemark University as part of an Erasmus program. She attended Norwegian language classes 5 days a week for 5 hours each day. In addition to her language studies, Monika went on several cultural excursions with her class including trips around the fjord, to a lake, hiking in Bymarka forest, and visiting a museum of music. Monika enjoyed experiencing Norwegian culture through activities like a waffles evening with a Norwegian movie, visiting an island that was formerly a monastery and prison, attending music events, and seeing landmarks in Trondheim like Nidarosdomen Cathedral and the old bridge.
