                                   Upon graduation, candidates must submit an application for voluntary certification exam
                                   through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The exam ensures that
                                   technicians have the qualifications to conduct medical imaging tests and includes 200 questions
                                   that cover topics involving radiation protection, imaging procedures and patient care, equipment
                                   operation, image acquisition.

                                   After successfully passing the certification exam, candidates can to apply for a license
                                   profession in the Vermont Board of Radiology Technology.
                                   In order to maintain certification, an x-ray tech must complete 24 credits of continuing education
                                   every two years through training conferences, professional lectures, volunteer activities and
