Epithelial Membranes: Serous Comes in 2ā€™s layers Inside & Outside Whatā€™s in-between is called: Serous Fluid A clear fluid that if they could replicate manufacture would replace & change the face of all lubrication on the planet. Itā€™s awesome
Epithelial Membranes: Serous What surrounds the Lungs is called: The Pleura Inside = Visceral Pleura Outside = Parietal Pleura Whatā€™s in between the two layers? Serous Fluid
Epithelial Membranes: Serous Peritoneum: the sac covering the internal organs in the abdominal cavity
Epithelial Membranes: Serous What it really looks likeā€¦ Yummy!
Epithelial Membranes: Serous The bag that surrounds, protects and lubricates the heart. Inside = Epicardium Outside = Parietal Pericardium The Pericardium Lubrication? From what?!?! Iā€™m soo glad you asked!!!
Epithelial Membranes: Serous Imagine the friction created by this action over and over and over and over and overā€¦. you get the idea. So we need the Serous Fluid = Pericardial fluid to do its job.
Epithelial Membranes: Serous Here we see how the Heart and the Lungs articulate and are found in the body.
Epithelial Membranes: Mucous Mucous membranes: line all cavities open to the outside or hollow organs. Include: Respiratory tract: Nose, Mouth, Esophagus and lungs. Digestive tract Urinary tract Reproductive Tract I knowā€¦thatā€™s HOT!
