This document outlines the subject options offered at the school including compulsory Sport and elective options of 1 or 2 Unit Sport, Lifestyle & Recreation (SLR) and 2 Unit Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE). SLR can be studied for 3 or 6 periods per week and covers topics like games, aquatics, health and fitness. 2 Unit PDHPE is an ATAR subject involving theoretical study and examination. Potential career pathways related to these subjects include sports teacher, physiotherapist, personal trainer and health promotion. Students are encouraged to seek further information from teachers or online resources if interested in these course selections.

2. SUBJECTS OFFERED 1. Sport:(Compulsory) 2. Sport, Lifestyle & Recreation:SLR (Elective) Two courses: a) 1 Unit SLR – 3 periods per week b) 2 Unit SLR – 6 periods per week 3. PDHPE 2 Unit:(Elective) – 6 periods per week

3. SENIOR SPORT Sport is a Department of Education requirement. All students must participate in sport to a satisfactory level. 3 periods per week with the entire year group. There is only a satisfactory or unsatisfactory level of achievement. All students who are unsatisfactory in Yr 11 may jeopardise their progression to year 12.

5. SLR is a non-ATARsubject.

6. 1 Unit = 3 periods of study per week.

7. 2 Unit = 6 periods of study per week.

9. 2 UNIT PDHPE OVERVIEW This is an ATARsubject. Theoretical based subject where students study and explore a range of practical and health related concepts. The only practical that is involved is based around laboratories and testing of biomechanical, fitness and skill acquisition principles. HSC exam is a 3 hour written examination
