– Reston: Increased frequency, midday service and

– General satisfaction with the proposed plan

Service Plan Overview

• Original Silver Line Bus Service Plan developed
from Transit Development Plan (TDP)
– Goal: Increase transit ridership and encourage
use of Silver Line by providing transit service to
new Metrorail stations in Tysons and Reston

• Plan revised to incorporate public comments

Revisions to Plan

• Restoration of a portion of the Pentagon/Crystal
City express service (New Route 599)
• Midday/later evening service in Reston and
Herndon
• New route in Herndon to provide better access to
the Silver Line
