I found that there were an nearly an equal amount of girls and boys
surveyed. My magazine has no particular gender to appeal to and
should therefore cater to both male and female. Stereotypically
females who like the rock genre are more masculine than feminine.

Age
Most of the people I surveyed were in the age range that I was thinking of
targeting my magazine at. I found that most people will buy music
magazines in the age range of 14-21 years old and this gives me a target
audience of teenagers.

I asked how often people buy magazines and found that
people are more likely to buy a magazine weekly or monthly.
My magazine would be sold monthly as there would be more
rock genre information in a monthly magazine rather than a
weekly one also people tend not to buy magazines every week.

5. My questionnaire connotes that more people buy music and fashion magazines showing that I would have a wider
range of audience with a music magazine. Also within a music magazine fashion is also a main icon.

6. From my questionnaire I found that most people would like the house style (RED,WHITE &BLACK).This has benefited me as I
know what would appeal more to my audience.These colours also fit with the conventional house style used in the rock genre.

7. Conclusion
• From my questionnaire I have found that my
magazine would be targeted at both a female
and a male consumer. That they will be in the
age range of teenagers. Therefore chances to
win tickets to concerts and festivals will appeal
to them. The people that answered my
questionnaire liked the conventional house
style for the rock genre (red, white & black)
the most.
