THE SCHLIEFFIN PLAN

• The Schlieffin Plan was the
 Germans strategic plan for
victory if it ever had to find
 itself fighting on two fronts.
TOTAL WAR

• Total War is where almost every aspect of life
is diverted to it. Such as the men being sent
to fight and the home front being diverted to
    helping the soldiers.

• The Stalemate was a word to describe the
Trench Warfare and how it seemed like no
    one could win.

• a form of occupied fighting lines, consisting
largely of trenches, in which troops are largely
immune to the enemy's small arms fire and
    are substantially sheltered from artillery.
KEY BATTLES OF WWI

• First Marne: Fought near Paris, France between the French
and United Kingdom against Germany. The Allies won. It
reset the stage of Trench Warfare.

• Second Marne: Located near Paris, France. The Germans lost
to France, Britain, Italy, and United States. It was Germanys
    last strong offensive..

• Gallipoli: Located in the Ottoman Empire, German, The
Ottomans, and Austria-Hungary beat The British, French,
Australia, and New Zealand. It renewed ‘Turkey’s’ vision for
    the empire.

• Somme: Located on the Somme River in France, Germany
lost in a battle against every allied power except The United
States. Germans had to retreat 40 miles.

• Verdun: Located in Verdun, France. The French beat the
Germans. It was a bad loss of a key strategic point for the
    Germans.
BOLSHEVIK REVOLUTION

•A political revolution and a
 part of the Russian
 Revolution of 1917.

• Happened in 1917.

• Resulted
        in Russia leaving
 World War One.
US ENTRY INTO THE WAR

• Two reasons for entering was because people
were pleading to help the Allied European
countries and Germans sunk the passenger
    liner “RMS Lusitania”.

• Entered April of 1917.

• They fought with the Allies.

• Woodrow Wilson was president.
