I would like to welcome you all of you to what I am sure will be a stellar opportunity to consider what has the potential to be a unifying force in public education, Response to Intervention or RtI. You may also hear it called Response to Instruction and in its early beginnings some referred to is as Resistance to Intervention. My name is Sharon Hance and I work here at Erie 1 BOCES for the Special Education Training and Resource Center and have been here five years. I have the good fortune of working in the Erie 1 Districts and am grateful for the conversations and work that is going on in the region as we figure out how we will move forward.
