Rupee falls below 55 level against dollar;
down by 12 paisa
The rupee dropped further to 55.20 before
quoting 55.00 per dollar at 1100 hrs, still down
by 12 paisa over previous close.
Rupee hits 2-1/2 month low against dollar
The rupee was trading close to 55 levels
despite gains in the domestic share market.
The rupee is trading at 54.99/55.00 versus its
close of 54.88/89.
Sterling falls to 6-week low versus firmer
dollar
Sterling fell 0.6 per cent to $1.5172, a shade
below Wednesday's low of $1.5173 which was
its weakest since April 4.
