HERITAGE CAPITAL LATIN AMERICA
Heritage Capital Latin America is an operating subsidiary of Heritage Capital, the merchant banking division of Swiss family-owned
Banque Heritage. It was formed in December 2008 when Enrique Bustamante, Board Member of Heritage Capital Latin America,
joined forces with London-based Heritage Capital and Banque Heritage to extend the group‟s international footprint in the region.
Heritage Capital Latin America forms part of the vision of Heritage Capital and Banque Heritage‟s founders – to build a specialist
merchant banking operation that places clients at the core of its business and blends true global reach with on-the-ground local
expertise in key emerging markets. Joseph Dryer, Chief Executive, founded Heritage Capital in 2007.
Since then and with the backing of Banque Heritage – a successful private bank with a robust Tier 1 Capital Ratio of 15.1% and
total assets under management exceeding CHF7.4bn at the end of 2009 – Heritage Capital has grown impressively. Today it has
an international team of 60 experienced professionals.

ENRIQUE BUSTAMANTE: Board Member, Heritage Capital Latin America
Enrique Bustamante has over 20 years‟ experience in Latin America investment banking. He
began his career in 1987 with Banamex in Mexico City and was seconded to the New York
branch in 1989, where he worked in the International Treasury and Corporate Finance divisions.
Prior to heading HCLA, Enrique served as a Managing Director and Head of Latin America in
the Global Banking Division of Dresdner Kleinwort (2001-2007), where he led a team
responsible for investment banking and capital markets origination for Latin American sovereign
and corporate clients. Prior to joining Dresdner Kleinwort in 2001, he worked in the Latin
America Capital Markets Group at Merrill, Lynch & Co. and ING where he was responsible for
Mexico and the Andean Region. Enrique has successfully completed in excess of $30 billion in
assignments including M&A, bonds, loans and securitizations for a large number of companies
and governments in Latin America, including the Republic of Brazil, Petroleos Mexicanos,
Enersis, Banco Itau, Unibanco, PDVSA, Petrobras and the Republic of Venezuela.
Enrique has an Economics degree from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and
is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

JOSEPH DRYER: Chief Executive, Heritage Capital
Joseph Dryer has over 30 years of capital markets and investment banking experience gleaned from
working for some of the most prominent US and European financial institutions. He began his career
in 1979 with Manufacturers Hanover Trust, where he worked for four years in the Latin American
division in New York.
Joseph then moved to London in 1983 to join Hambros Bank, where he worked for nine years,
ultimately as a Director in the International Debt Issues division, responsible for North America. He
then joined French investment bank Paribas Capital Markets in 1992 to run Global Bond Syndicate
before being promoted run Debt Capital Markets in 1998.
In September 2000, Joseph joined German investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, holding
several senior capital markets and investment banking positions throughout his six years there,
including being a Member of the investment bank‟s Executive Committee and Co-Head of Corporate
Finance and Origination, responsible for its international debt and equity capital markets origination.
After 23 years in the City of London working for some of the most prominent investment banks,
Joseph resigned from Dresdner Kleinwort in September 2006 to pursue new interests which led to
the creation of Heritage Capital, a specialist investment bank, in 2007.

NIELS NOOY: Managing Director, Emerging Markets Trading & Syndicate, Heritage Capital
Niels Nooy has been involved in emerging markets for the last 17 years. After starting his career at
Paribas Capital Markets in 1989, he subsequently joined ING Barings as a director in 1992 where he
spent 9 years trading emerging markets distressed and defaulted sovereign and corporate debt
including loans, Brady bonds and eurobonds. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2001 where he spent a further 4
years trading emerging markets sovereign & corporate eurobonds. In 2006 Niels joined a London-based
family office to focus on private equity investments and helped establish Global Evolution, an emerging
markets fund management business based in Denmark. He subsequently joined them as head of
international sales & distribution and was responsible for launching their emerging markets hedge fund
product. In 2009 he joined Phoenix Partners Group, a credit derivatives broker, where he was
responsible for launching and building their emerging markets desk.

GLENN PEEBLES: Managing Director & Country Head, Heritage Capital do Brasil Consultoria Ltda
Glenn Peebles joined Heritage Capital Latin America in May 2009 to establish the Brazil office and carry
forward the business in this key country. Prior to Heritage Capital, Glenn was at Dresdner Kleinwort,
where he was responsible for the origination of debt capital markets, securitizations, and structured
transactions from Brazilian issuers. He has also worked in the past for Banco Itaú, Bankers Trust and
Banco Pactual focused on M&A and Capital Markets.
During his 14 year career, Glenn has taken part in a wide variety of transactions in both the international
and Brazilian capital markets and in M&A and advisory situations. He has had transaction experience in
a wide range of industries, including banking and finance, power, telecommunications and media, steel,
retail, transportation and logistics, automotive, and construction materials, among others. An American
citizen and long-time resident of Brazil, Glenn received his PhD in Economics from the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the US in 1995. He earned his B.A. Economics and Spanish from
Rockford College, Rockford, Illinois, USA. He is also a CFA charter holder.

RAUL VIDAL: Director, Heritage Capital Latin America
Raul Vidal joined Heritage Capital Latin America to focus on Latin American Debt Capital Markets
coverage. He joined from ING in New York where he was most recently a Director in the Debt
Capital Markets Division. Raul has over 15 years of investment banking and capital markets
experience, the bulk of which working for ING. From 1995 to 2007, Raul was a Vice President and
Director in ING‟s DCM Private Placements Group, where he participated in the origination,
structuring and placement of a variety of debt transactions. He has raised over $3.5bn in financing
for international and domestic companies across industries, and participated in several M&A
transactions as part of the Latin American Corporate Finance Team.

MAURO BATTISTI: Associate Director, Heritage Capital do Brasil Consultoria Ltda
Mauro Battisti joined Heritage Capital‟s Brazilian office in July 2009. Prior to Heritage Capital do
Brasil Consultoria Ltda Mauro worked for three years in London/UK as an investment banker for
Dresdner Kleinwort and HSBC covering the power & utilities, infrastructure and metals & mining
sectors. Before that, he worked for over 4 years in São Paulo/Brazil for Banco Itaú BBA in its Project
Finance team covering the Infrastructure sector. During his 7 year career, Mauro has participated in
a wide variety of transactions in both the international and Brazilian project financing, M&A and
equity capital markets. In 2006, Mauro earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of
Pennsylvania. In the same year, he received his MA in International Studies from the University of
Pennsylvania. In 2000, he earned his B.A. in Economics from The University of São Paulo.

STEFAN SCHMIDT: Associate Director, Heritage Capital
Stefan Schmidt joined Heritage Capital in January 2009, having previously been at Dresdner Kleinwort in London,
covering leading German, Austrian and Swiss financial institutions. Stefan has done M&A and Equity Capital
Markets transactions for, inter alia, the following clients: Allianz, Deutsche Bank, DZ Bank, EFG International,
ERGO, Eurohypo, HVB Group, SEB Group and Wiener Städtische Versicherungsgruppe. Stefan has a German-
