west of the Suez's Gulf.
Cairo is along the Nile
River.
Cairo is the capital of Egypt
and the largest city in the
Arab world and Africa.
It is divided in neighborhoods.

The metropolitan
area includes an
approximate
population of 16
million inhabitants,
turning to Cairo into
the eleventh city most
filled in the world. It
is, also, the
metropolitan area

7. HISTORY
The area around present-day Cairo
date to series of settletements in the
first millennium.
In 1250 slave soldiers (Mamluks)
established Cairo as the capital of
their dynasty. They built newer
building and brought new
infraestructure to the centre of the
city.
Cairo flourished as a centre of
Islamic scholarship and a crossroads
on the spice trade.
Cairo was devastted during the 1952
Cairo Fire (Black Saturday).
In 1992 Cairo was hit by the
earthquake.
In 2011 was the Egyptian Revolution.

The oficial
language in
Cairo is the Arab.
The people
speak English.
And some people
can speak
Spanish and
French.
