9. The energy system is said to act like a electromagnetic field--the chakras being like transformers, capacitors and semiconductors. The meridians carry the electric currents, and information, as well.

12. The healthy flow of energy through the chakras affects not only our physical well-being, but our emotions, our thought processes, issues of creativity and our relationships with self and others, as well as our spiritual development.

13. Energy modalities use light touch or hand movement over the body to influence the human energy system, specifically the field that surrounds the body and the energy centers that control the energy flow from the biofield to the physical body.

14. Energy Therapy is a form of healing that allows for emotional, spiritual, mental as well as physical balance and realignment.

16. We are energetic beings at our most basic level of being. We are energy transmitters as well as energy receivers. Our hearts emit the strongest frequency of any organ in our bodies. Scientists are discovering that our unhealthy, inactive or underfunctioning tissues are capable of responding to various frequencies, both natural and manmade, for healing and health.

22. Perhaps a healer entrains to the Schumann Resonance and then, in turn, to the client. All become phase-locked and energy flows from stronger to weaker.

24. The mechanism may be similar to pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) for bone healing. In PEMF therapy, electrodes are placed above and below a poorly healing bone fracture and a extremely low frequency (ELF) is sent into the tissue via these electrodes. This low energy frequency is the frequency that bones require for healing and growth.

25. In lab experiments, healers’ hands were tested using very sensitive measuring devices while ‘running energy’. They were found to emit a very low energy frequency (ELF) similar to PEMF. This range of frequencies have been found to promote healing in various tissues of the body.

27. This is accomplished via light touch. The goal in energy therapy is to restore harmony and balance in the energy system placing the person in a position to self-heal.

28. This work is done with the patient fully clothed, in a standing, sitting or lying position, depending upon the patient’s condition and work to be done.

43. Healing Touch is a heart-centered process that comes from a place of stillness, peace and compassion within the healer. During the healing session, the healer, by focusing and centering from the heart, creates a healing space that surrounds both the healer and the client.

44. As yet, no machine has been able to duplicate the natural, innate healing exchange that takes place between a client and a healer.

48. You do not have to believe in Higher Power or spirituality, or be familiar with or even interested in such topics as New Age, parallel universes, quantum physics or the mind-body-spirit connection in order to experience energy work or for it to be effective.

49. One is allowed to be skeptical.... ...as long as one keeps an open mind.

50. If you have been dragged, pushed or coerced into trying this therapy and really don’t believe it will work , it is less likely that energy therapy will be of benefit to you.

51. Energy therapy may be used on ill or injured animals. Experiments have been done on plants and animals with statistically measurable results, ruling out the placebo effect as the only plausible explanation for the positive results of this therapy.
