9. Assessment -Presentation Each week students will present an article followed by a discussion. More detailed information regarding criteria will be presented in class. Presentation of article (25 marks) Discussion (15 marks) Total 40 marks
10. Assessment - Essay Length: Approx. 2,500 words. Choose one of the following topics: 1. Referring to the literature as well as to your own experience as a language teacher and/or learner, discuss the key principles that you feel are important for developing listening or reading skills (choose one skill only). Explain how these key principles can be applied in the classroom. 2. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of two different approaches to language teaching with a particular group of language learners and context in mind. 3. Referring to recent literature discuss how the Internet can be used as a teaching and learning tool. You will need to choose a specific area for this essay. Essay titles for this question need to be negotiated with the lecturer in charge.
