1. The conventions of our Album are quite
traditional; this is because we want the audience
to know directly from seeing it who the artist is
and when the album will be released. The
conventions of a typical advert that we used
are:
· The artist name and Album title
· Readable colours that are eye catching
· Photograph of the artist
· Logo
· Date of album release
The conventions on the album and advert that
had to match with the typical acoustic genre
were:
· Suitable clothing on the artist
· Location of the shots (old train station)
· The colour scheme had to match the theme of
the artists music (we chose blue)
I created the back cover of an
album, the effect that i wanted to
create was for the audience to find
the back cover appealing because
this is shown as well as the front
cover in stores. The conventions
that I used to create this were:
• A photograph of the artist
• Barcode
• Copy right
• The title of songs
2. We all created a cover each to created
one product. We all decided to create
a black and white effect on each cover.
I added a typical barcode
because it is used on every
artists album back cover.I used a white font because
it shows up very easy on the
black background of the boys
coat, therefore looks more
appealing
Photograph of the artist so that
the audience knows exactly
who it is
Date of when the CD and Download
will be released. This is an important
factor to the audience.
I used a blue texture to
overlap the photograph
this made the advert
look more appealing
than leaving it all in
black and white.
