Insurance
It is compulsory that all participants and members of delegations have
their own medical insurance. The Spanish Karate Federation and the
World Karate Federation are taking no liability for either of these. The
Chiefs of the delegations have to sign the enclosed terms of
responsibility sheet and return it by June 30th 2013.

It is for me and for all of the components of the World Karate family a great
pleasure to visit Guadalajara and Spain. Around 100 countries from the five continents
are going to meet in Guadalajara around Karate, a sport that is proving day by day not
only how deep it is merged in our society but also the added value that its practice
gives irrespective of age and condition.

Spain is a very important piece of the World Karate Federation, for both
qualitative and quantitative reasons. We have lived the progress that karate has
experienced in this country and how positively it has been contributing to the
worldwide development of our sport.

I also want to congratulate the Royal Spanish Karate Federation for the
commitment, professionalism and interest shown for the successful organization of
these Championships, and wish that this event will serve to further promote karate
popularity and practice throughout the country.

In the name of the whole World Karate, I want to thank you for your
inestimable contribution, and I am sure that we all will enjoy unforgettable days in
Guadalajara.

The Spanish karate Federation hosted its last World Championships in 2002.
We wait with great expectation and encouragement the arrival of these 8th World
Junior & Cadet Championships in Guadalajara.

Every sport has a place in this city, where it is possible to play a wide variety of
sports or merely enjoy big events as a spectator. The Aguas Vivas Sports Hall might be
considered the standard‐bearer for sport in the city. Guadalajara is much more; it is a
historic city where you will find a wide range of cultural and leisure activities which will
make your stay an unforgettable experience.

I would like to take this opportunity to make a special mention of the President
of the World Karate Federation, Mr. Antonio Espinós Ortueta for his inestimable
support to the organization of these Championships as well as to the Spanish Karate.

Our most sincere gratitude to the institutional contribution of the Town Hall of
Guadalajara, for their cooperation and collaboration for the development of these
Championships and specially to our sport, karate.

The Spanish Karate Federation is proud to host the next 8th World Junior

The organizers will provide the National Federations, which turn in the relevant
application on time, with training facilities four (4) days prior to the days of the
Championships in the Sports Hall Aguas Vivas.
Transportation to the Sports Hall from your hotel should be arranged through the

• In case the remaining amount is not received by the mentioned dates, the rooms
will be release and the reservation will be cancelled.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Until 90 days prior to arrival, there is no cancellation fee. (until 6th of August 2013)
• Between 89 – 45 days prior to arrival 25% fee will be charged for cancellations.
(From 7th August to 20th September)
• Between 44 – 30 days prior to arrival 50% fee will be charged for cancellations.
(From 21th September to 5th October)
• Between 29 – 16 days 75% fee will be charged for cancellations.

WKF FEES AND CONDITIONS FROM 1 ‐1‐ 2013

1. Annual membership fee ................................................................................................................................................. 1300 CHF
The deadline for membership fee payment is 31st March, each year. If the payment is made after the deadline, but in the same
year, a surcharge of 300 CHF will be applied. If the payment is made the year after, a surcharge of 500 CHF will be applied. In any
case the annual and/or outstanding membership fees must be paid prior to registration of participants at World Championships
events.
2. Referee course registration fees and conditions
2.a. Indistinctly Kata or Kumite (includes the issue of an annual WKF ID card).................................................. 330 CHF
2.b. Both Kata and Kumite (includes the issue of an annual WKF ID card) ........................................................ 530 CHF
The deadline to send the registration forms is 60 days before the 1st day of the referee course. For late registration cases,
acceptance will be subject to availability and a surcharge of 250 CHF for each single late registration (Kata or Kumite) and of 400
CHF for each double late registration (Kata and Kumite) will be applied. As there is limited capacity for the total number of
participants in the referee course, each NF will have to rank its candidates by priority order. At least 45days before the day of
commencement of the course, the WKF will inform each NF of the number of candidates accepted, following the priority order
indicated by the NF. Should this priority order not be given, the WKF will make the decision as to which candidates are accepted.
The NFs must register the accepted referees online (www.wkf‐registration.net).
3. Referee license renewal fee (indistinctly Kata or Kumite) ................................................................................................ 200 CHF
4. Referees registration fees for World Championships
The registration of qualified referees for officiating in World Championships will be free of charge when done within the same
deadline as for the referee course registration (60 days before the 1st day of the referee course). For late registration a surcharge
of 250 CHF will be applied. All referees registered shall be in possession of an annual WKF ID card or otherwise be issued and pay
for one (30CHF). NFs must register the referees online (www.wkf‐registration.net).

5. Coach registration fees and conditions

To register for the coach activities the NFs must register the coaches online (www.wkf‐registration.net) as well as send the
registration form and agreement according to the deadlines established for each event. No coaches will be able to perform such
function in WKF Championships if not in possession of the WKF Accredited Coach level.

6. Registration fees in World Championships
World Championships (Cadet & Junior/Senior) fees for each entry, as follows:

The individual entry fee includes the issue of an annual WKF ID Card. Those athletes only registered for team events need to be
issued and pay for an annual ID card (30 CHF). For late registration (the deadline for registration is 2 weeks before the 1st day of
the competition) a surcharge of 60 CHF will be applied for each individual entry and of 100 CHF for each team. The same surcharge
will have to be paid for entry changes even if they were registered on time including delegation members other than competitors.
7. WKF ID cards: All participants (Athletes, Referees, Coaches, Heads of Delegation, Country VIP’s, Medical and Physio persons, NF
invited persons and NF accompanying persons) accredited in a WKF event shall be in possession of an annual WKF ID card.
