Herein the Internet is the perfect tool to match equal complexity, assuming well educated and trained networking citizens are perfect key players and “Design Thinking“ to be the perfect methodology recipe in the context to explore ideas for a better society. “Think global but act local” therefore also matches the idea of the “Digital Society” as a scalable model, whereas Bandung could become an exceptional prototype. Governments and public organizations wether they like it or not will have to face enormous challenges in order to establish an “open government” and accepting and integrating the re-politicization of society in general as a powerful change and to build a solid democratic foundation. Summary: — Maybe it's no longer about avoiding the collapse of the world, but its design. — A Digital Society is the counterpart to physical world which due to the increasing tasks unfolds the best alternative to stabilize and balance economic models and social life. — Innovation is the outcome of a methodology process embedded within a fruitful environment with open minded thus creative people. — Trust and transparency are the currency of Digital Society.
