2. Who?
for my magazine front cover and double page
spread I knew I wanted to have someone who
looked representable but sill edgy, so I picked
someone I knew called rob. He already had
some stubble so he looked a bit rock’n’roll and
rebellious, we also planned what he would wear.
I used a couple of small images of myself as well
for the contents page
3. Where?
I want my front cover to look like a studio shot
so I plan to use a large white room at my college
which is very well lit. I want the rest of my shots
in various music rooms or mixing rooms to show
the artists where they are most comfortable.
4. When?
I want my front cover shot to be shot in the day
time so that the large windows in the college
atrium give it very good natural lighting so that
it is high key, but I also want it to be quiet and
not busy so I do not waste time, so I will do it
either before or after college hours. The other
shots it does not matter the time of day I must
just book the rooms in advance.
5. how
I carefully want to leave space around my front
cover image so that there is room for text. I
want the mise en scene of the images to be light
high key and cheerful as my audience is not dark
or depressed. I also think I want my images to all
be in their natural colours but I plan to leave
time to experiment in case I change my mind
about this.
