1. This document calls for papers to be presented at the WFC/ACC/CCIAP Education Conference on Translating Evidence into Practice being held in Perth, Western Australia from September 26-29, 2012.
2. Papers on topics related to translating evidence into practice in chiropractic education or clinical practice should be 500-1000 words and submitted by April 30, 2012.
3. Authors of selected papers will be notified by May 31, 2012 and papers will be published in the conference proceedings.

Representatives of chiropractic educational institutions, chiropractic associations,
individual doctors of chiropractic and others are invited to submit short, summary papers
(500‐1000 words) for presentation at the above conference to be held at the Rendezvous
Hotel and Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia from September 26‐29, 2012.
Best submissions will be selected for oral (24) or poster (26) presentation. They should be
submitted in one of the two subject categories given below. Before preparing a paper, and
to obtain a full understanding of the purposes and content of the meeting, please read the
Notice of Meeting and the Program. (If you have not received these, they may be found at

2. Categories of Presentation. Papers should be submitted in one of the following categories:
1. Evidence‐based Practice in Education. Papers on topics related to translating
evidence to practice in the context of chiropractic education. Twelve (12) papers
will be selected for oral presentation in Sessions 1.1 and 3.1. Examples of topics
are….’Implementing diagnostic imaging guidelines into a teaching clinic; Conflicting
imaging guidelines: how to choose which one(s) to implement’.
2. Evidence‐based Practice in Practice. Papers on topics related to translating evidence
to practice in the context of clinical practice. Twelve (12) papers will be selected for
oral presentation in Sessions 1.2 and 3.2. Examples of topics are….’Implementing
new diagnostic imaging guidelines into a clinical practice; Conflicting imaging
guidelines: how to choose which one(s) to implement in practice.
Deadline for papers. April 30, 2012.
Notification of acceptance. Authors of papers selected for presentation will be advised by
May 31, 2012.
Publication. Papers will be published in the written proceedings of the conference, and will
be available for all participants at the time of the conference.
Paper length and submission instructions. Papers should be between 500 and 1000 words
in length. Submission must be completed on‐line at www.wfc.org under Events/Meetings.
Please remember that you must submit your paper on‐line. Only on‐line submissions will be
accepted. Please list all authors, including degree(s), institution/organization where applicable,
and contact information. Please note who will be the presenter.
