Heifer International provides livestock such as cows, chickens, and goats to impoverished families around the world. The goal is to teach families to farm the animals to produce things like milk, eggs, and offspring so they can feed themselves instead of just being given food. One animal can benefit the entire community as families can sell extra production and offspring to earn income for necessities like food, school, and healthcare. Heifer International operates projects in over 125 countries worldwide.
