The beginning of Chousn University was the beginning of a civil university. Our expectation to
nurture elites who will lead in the rehabilitation and create prosperity of our country has become
our ongoing mission.

Foundation Philosophy

Chosun University was born with a national awakening to nurture elites who would contribute

to foundation of a nation. A movement to found a private college in Honam Area that was discouraged under the Japanese
imperialism revived with a foundation of Chosun College Founders' Association in May 1946.

elite students. In 2013, the 67th anniversary of our school's foundation, our
university will develop further towards our 100th anniversary based on

industry and university cooperation, field education, and internships that increase students’ competitive power in finding

than 2,000 miles. Based on this program, a certificate of Baek-ak-jang scholarship, overseas training opportunities, and
recommendations are presented to students who have received good grades in their academic studies and for learning
