2. Definition The Janu in sanskrit means The Knee. The structure that which is present between the Sakthi (Hip) and the Jangha (Fore leg) is referred as Janu, which is supposed to be the Knee. janu n. 3. Number of Janu The Janu, which corresponds to the knee joint is present one in each of the leg. Thus 2 Janumarmas are present in the human body.
4. Classification of Janu Marma Based on the effect of injury the Janumarma has been classified as VAIKALYAKARA MARMA. Reference- Su.Sha.6/13 Based on the structural integrity the Janumarma has been classified as SANDHI MARMA. Reference- Su.Sha.6/4
