§ Smile design technology includes intra-oral cameras and digital
cameras for photographing your teeth, and digital software
programs to give you a sneak preview of your future smile. You
can either select your desired smile from photos or design books
that your dentist has in the office or you can bring in photos.

Some patients bring photos of their own smiles when they were younger or happier
with their smile. Others tend to bring in photos of a smile that they admire, like a
famous smile (the “Julia Roberts Smile” is always a popular choice).

Your dentist can also make a stone replica of your teeth and design your desired smile
in wax so you can see your new smile up close and personal in your hand. That’s right,
you no longer have to wait and wonder what your smile could look like if you choose

replicas of your new smile before you invest the time and money in it.
