JCAHO Visits in 2000, 2003 & 2005. Responsibilities included
department policies review and revision, represent the
department at JCAHO's 'Care of the Patient' Interview, provide
answers to surveyor's food service and nutrition-related
questions
Co-Chair the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System Clinical
Nutrition Committee bi-monthly meetings
Clinical Preceptor for Texas Woman’s University and
University of Houston Dietetic Internships, and San Jacinto
Dietetic Technician Internship clinical nutrition rotations year-
round
Prepare & Facilitate the Dietetic Internship Food & Nutrition
Service Orientation Program for five (5) hospitals in the

Expanded the MHSW Outpatient Nutrition Clinic from 1½
FTEs (1 full-time and 1 part-time Dietitian) in 1998 to currently
2½ FTEs (2 Dietitians and 1 part-time Office Assistant). This
initiative resulted in reduced appointment delays, reduced ‘no
shows’ and increased revenue. But most of all… increased
patient and physician satisfaction.
Wrote Nutrition Articles for the American Liver Foundation
quarterly Newsletter and periodically provided nutrition
presentations to both the American and National Liver
Foundation local chapters
