The Culture of Argentina Max Henderson
The Music & Dance The Music: Despite that Argentina has not really invented a particular type of music each region has a type of music that is more popular than others. Latin American music from other countries is popular in Argentina, also American and British bands have become popular. Chamame and Chacarera are also important to Argentina as they are an Argentine take on music from other parts of the world. In other words, Argentina has adopted music from places such as Germany and Spain and gave it an Argentine twist. The Tango : The Tango is perhaps one of the most important dances to ever come from Argentina and has also come to represent many of the upper class individuals of Argentina. The dance is said to have come out of Buenos Aires and is a representation of intimacy. The dance caught on with immigrants, particularly the Spanish and Italians and was eventually spread throughout the globe.

The Sports Soccer is by far the most popular sport among the majority of Argentineans . Most of the love for the sport is because some of the best players and teams come from Argentina. Soccer is frequently played in the streets and was originally brought to Argentina by the British. Pato is Argentina's national sport. The goal of Pato is, while on horseback, to stuff a live duck in a net. The game of Pato originated in Argentina nearly 400 years ago and has since been a game adopted by Europeans and many other people of the Americas. Other highly regarded sports in Argentina include Polo, Tennis, and Race car driving. Many Argentineans have become wildly popular in these sports and have been recognized in competitions across the globe; including winning the Olympic Games, US Open, and Formal 1.
