2. Segregation of Jews was a major factor in Nazi ideology. In 1920, Nazi party members publicly declared their intention to segregate Jews from Aryan society and to deteriorate Jews' from political, legal, and civil rights. During the first six years of Hitler's dictatorship, from 1933 until the war in 1939, Jews felt the effects of more than 400 decrees and regulations that restricted all aspects of their public and private lives. Thus, hundreds of individuals in all levels of government throughout the country were involved in the persecution of Jews. No corner of Germany was left untouched.

3. 1933 July 14, 1933 - Nazi Party is declared the only legal party in Germany; Also, Nazis pass Law to strip Jewish immigrants from Poland of their German citizenship. In Sept - Nazis establish Reich Chamber of Culture, then exclude Jews from the Arts. Sept 29, 1933 - Nazis prohibit Jews from owning land. Oct 4, 1933 - Jews are prohibited from being newspaper editors.

5. Aug 6, 1935 - Nazis force Jewish performers/artists to join Jewish Cultural Unions.

8. April 30, 1939 - Jews lose rights as tenants and are relocated into Ghettos

9. Sept 1, 1939 - Jews in Germany are forbidden to be outdoors after 8 p.m. in winter and 9 p.m. in summer.
