The Walking Dead Season 5: Tools for Survival
1. SEASON 5

HOW HAVE
THEY SURVIVED?
There is a thin line between surviving and being turned into
a walker. In this slide deck we look at the tools used by the
show’s survivors and decide how effective they’ve been.
We also have a few suggestions of our own!
2. WEAPONS
C LO T P T Y H NO
The weapon of choice for Sheriff Rick Grimes, the colt is a
powerful weapon with expensive ammo. But its downsides
include too much noise and hard to find ammunition.

3. WEAPONS
K TA ANA
In the hands of Michonne, the katana is a silent killing machine.
Its only real weakness is a lack of range.

4. WEAPONS
C OR SS OB W
Daryl’s signature, the crossbow is quieter than a handgun
while still providing excellent range. For this reason, it’s the
best weapon out there.

5. WEAPONS
H MA MER
Deadly, silent, and reusable, the hammer has served Tyreese
well. Its drawback? Incredibly short range. Tough to avoid a
bite when you are always within arm’s reach.

6. A EX
Sharp, deadly, quiet and reusable, the axe would prove
its worth against walkers and as a functional tool.

A veritable fortress, the prison could have provided a
sustainable future...if not for the Governor.

In fact, the woods should be overrun with game,
