- Over 11.000 staff, around 4600 researchers that contribute to publishing My library CMB, serves this community, mainly in facilitating medical education, teaching, patient care & research. Team of 6 reonsoble for ... Me: besides being medical information specialist, also coordinator electronic services & innovations Basically: boosting awareness of current staff publications UMCG Resarch Office rsponsible for collecting & analysing. Using their own designed workflow & tools, is publising in rather uninteresting way, pdf, once a year. Huge task which takes them months, and therefore is always too late, behind. 2011 numbers/lists have not yet been published.

- Open Acces Poster Portal & Conference facility Another project to promote UMCG research is the Open Access UMCG Poster Portal. http://www.rug.nl/bibliotheek/locaties/bibcmb/instructies_auteurs/posters/index?lang=en This new project is starting up with promoting the deposit of scientific posters and oral presentations into the F1000 Poster Portal. It facilitates for instance conferences in hosting and archiving the posters of their delegates. See the presentation link for more. Ultimate goal: collect all UMCG posters and slides structurally in one Open Access UMCG Portal, and eventually visualize who has been where doing what Research Coordinators? By talking to research coordinators inside the hospital we become more aware of processes that are taking place around the overall research tasks. They have specific needs in support in efficient, flexible but safe file- and data management.
