1. Film Marketing – Judge Dredd(Task 1)
A teaser posters for “Dredd” (2012), It is a remake of the movie “Just Dredd”. A
teaser poster is to tease the audience/fans that a film is about to be made or come
on cinema. It is brief so the audience is aware and prepared for the film “Dredd”.
The main features of the film are the costume and a brief sentence which includes a
keyword “Judgment”. This is a keyword because the film revolves around judgement.
The brief sentence gives little but important information for the audience to know a
bit about the film.
The mood of the film has changed in this remake of the film “Dredd”. It has gone
darker and horrific. In the first one the colours were bright, colourful and it sets a
good mood.
2. The official poster reveals it all (main information)... Gives the audience an idea on
what the film is about. The poster gives more information on the movie.
The “Dredd” poster focus more on the film and cartoon character now rather than the
actor because in the first film the crew focused on the actor: his face and especially
his lips. It seemed like the film all about and not on the cartoon character. His whole
face was in the poster.
Posters are put in streets, shops and even cinema places for people to notice and
see the latest movie coming out.
3. This again is a teaser poster. This gives awareness to the audience that the film is
coming soon. It only shows the very core things. Very little is put in the teaser poster
to tease the audience and to encourage the people to watch the film.
4. The film Hours, the teaser pictures again just reveals the key points of the film and
gives the viewers/audience and taste/flavour of film. Make people aware that a new
film is coming soon...
5. The poster shows it all/gives more information (main information). The information is
needed for audience to see so they can decide whether they want to watch the
movie or not.
The teaser poster is similar to the official one but the official one has all the
information needed for a poster but a teaser gives little but main drops of
information.
The official posters are put in streets, shops and even cinema places for people to
notice and see the latest movie coming out.
