6. POMELO
Pomelo is often pear shaped and with a 15-
25 cm in diameter, the largest citrus fruit.
The green to yellow skin is thick and smooth.
The juicy flesh is mostly white, but can also be
pink or red, depending on the type.
The taste is sour and slightly bitter, but sweeter
than the yellow grapefruit. Pomelo’s with red

scientists believe they may have been the
world’s first fruit

Bananas as we know them began to be
developed in Africa about 650 AD. There
was a cross breeding of two varieties of
wild bananas, the Musa Acuminata and
the Musa Baalbisiana.
From this process, some bananas
became seedless and more like the
bananas we eat today
