1. Idukki Tourist Places
Idukki district is one of the most beautiful
districts of Kerala with its natural high range
beauty and the dense green forests. The
district headquarters is located at Kuyilimala in
Painavu. The largest Arch Dam in India is the
Idukki Dam. It is built across the Periyar River
and caters to the water needs of half the state
of Kerala.
2. Munnar
Munnar is a tourist centre 113 km away from
Kochi, situated at a height of 6000m above
sea level. Munnar is situated at the confluence
of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha,
Nallathanni and Kundala. Munnar is almost full
of tea estates and has thick forest cover.
Climate is cool and fine. In fact, the entire area
is known as the Kannan Devan Hills, from
which the famous brand of the Tatas gets its
