2. What is Cell Transport? Two Types: Active or Passive Active: The movement of molecules from a crowded to less crowded area to maintain homeostasis with the use of energy. Passive: Movement of molecules from crowed to less crowded without using energy. Two types- diffusion and osmosis.

4. Two Diseases caused by breakdown of Cell Transport. 1.) Alzheimer’s Disease: Disease that destroys brain cells and causes memory loss. 2.) Anemia's(or anemia's) are diseases characterized by low oxygen transport capacity of the blood, because of low red cell count or some abnormality of the red blood cells or the hemoglobin.

5. Why Alzheimer’s? Several proteins are involved in trafficking cargo in the nerve cell. When something goes wrong with the transport, the cell sends out a distress signal indicating cell death. APP maybe involved signaling process that leads to cell death when nerve cells are damaged. The damaging of cells or death of cells is why this disease causes memory loss.

6. Anemias Is a decreased normal number of red blood cells or less than the normal quantity of hemoglobin. Can include decreased oxygen-binding ability of each hemoglobin molecule. The lack of hemoglobin causes hypoxia in the body because not enough oxygen is transported through the body. Symptoms of this disease : weakness, fatigue, general malaise, poor concentration, and dyspnea.
