The vet will tell you:
• Their age
• What kind of
food to buy
• How often to
feed them
• If they are sick
– If sick, quarantine from
healthy cats

10. #4. Keep them Warm
• Hot water
bottle wrapped
in a towel
• Heating pad
• Space heater

11. #5. Make Kitties Feel at Home
• Bedding – Small box with blanket

12. #6. Feed Them
• Too young for kitten food?
• Use soft kitten food
when possible

13. #7. Show them the Litter Box
• Use smaller container
for litter box
• Too young?
– Sometimes they
need help

14. #8. Check for Fleas
• Use flea comb
• Never use flea
medicine, shampoo
or powder on a
kitten

15. #9. Get them Vaccinated
• Kittens begin vaccines 6 to 8
weeks of age
• Vaccines every 4 weeks
• Total of 3 sets

• In seven years, one female cat and her offspring
can produce an incredible 370,000 kittens!
