Entrepreneurs have ideas that they develop into businesses through hard work and investment. They create jobs and pay taxes that fund infrastructure like roads and bridges used by all. Politicians should recognize that entrepreneurs, not the government, build businesses and create wealth and opportunity through the free market system. Politicians are public servants who are funded by taxpayers, not the other way around.

Who Really Built It
1. So Mr. President,
who did build it?
A simple explanation of the American
Economy, and how jobs and prosperity are
created, for those who missed the class.
2. It starts with an idea...
2 years ago I had
an idea, just one
simple idea.
3. Americans are overweight...
This country has an obesity problem
People want to lose weight
They are willing to buy supplements that will help
What if I could find a cool supplement, and fill their
need, and make a business out of it?
4. I needed funding
I showed my idea to
people that some call
“Vulture Capitalists.” I
simply called them
“Investors.”
They put up the seed
capital I needed.
5. I sold part of my dream
The investors put up the money, in exchange for part of
my idea. In America, this is called a win/win solution
If the company is successful, we both prosper. If not,
they lose money, and I lose my dream. Nobody else
gets hurt
6. It took some work
For 90 days I worked hard. Really hard.
Sometimes I got up at 5 AM and went to bed at 11,
then woke up and did it again
It didn’t feel like work, because I was building my
dream
7. A dream becomes reality...
In the next year, we went on
to sell over $400,000 of our
product.
I made money
The investors made money
Our customers lost weight,
and bought more products
8. The dream gets even better
In 2011, we sold a LOT of products,
to a lot of people, and they lost
weight. They told their friends.
I made some great money
The investors made great money
Our customers were happy. We were
happy. Everybody was happy.
9. I paid my taxes
On April 15th, 2012, I wrote a check to the IRS for
$15,902.
I made another check out to my State for taxes, for
$5,266
My total tax payment was $21,168
I am an honest and full tax payer
10. The IRS got my check
The IRS and my state received my money
With it they build roads and bridges that I drive on
My small check also helps pay for police, fire
departments, and the military to protect my family
I am happy to pay for these services, they keep me and
my family safe
11. The President speaks...
July 14th, 2012 President Barrack
Hussein Obama says: “If you’ve
been successful, you didn’t get
there on your own... if you’ve got
a business – you didn’t build that.
Somebody else made that
happen.”
12. The President says more...
“Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve
got a business. you didn’t build that. Somebody else
made that happen...”
13. The President is right!
Wow, he’s right! The government built all the
infrastructure, including bridges and roads and fire
departments and police forces...
So I got wondering... Where did the government get all
the money to do that?
14. Then I remembered...
It was then that I remembered my check for $21,168
A little bit of it paid for all those things. A tiny bit of it
even paid for the Presidents salary, plus...
15. How we help the president
Not only do I help pay for all that infrastructure, but also
for Air Force One, All of the presidents staff and cabinet
I am also excited that the tax dollars I generated when
building my dream, helped him golf for the 100th time
as President, on June 17th, 2012!
... but wait, he said I didn’t build my own dream...
16. The President Forgets...
Perhaps the President forgot that people like me create
money...
...Then we pay our taxes...
...That the government uses to build roads and bridges
and aircraft carriers...
Maybe he forgot that we pay his salary and his green
fees?
17. In review...
Entrepreneurs create a business
Businesses create jobs and prosperity
The owners and employees pay taxes
The taxes are used by the government to build
infrastructure
The President gets to golf a lot and tell us smart things
like “You didn’t build that.”
18. Could it be?
Could it be that not only did I, along with millions of
others, create EVERYTHING?
And that government bureaucrats are our servants?
Didn’t we used to call people who we trusted with our
tax dollars “Public Servants?”
But when did Public Servants decide that we didn’t
build our businesses, or the country, and they did?
19. When did this happen?
When did Public Servants decide that THEY built it all?
Do Public Servants create anything at all? If so, with
what money, how do they do this?
Are we OK with them golfing 100 times, while telling us
“You didn’t build that?”
20. He’s a nice guy, but...
Barrack Hussein Obama seems like a really nice guy
But he’s not very good with our money. We have about
4 trillion dollars more debt than when he took over
He doesn’t seem to understand how businesses are
created, or who creates them
He doesn’t seem to understand where funding comes
from for bridges, roads, and aircraft carriers
21. In summary
The President deserves more time
on the golf course. Let’s give it to
him.
Then let’s find somebody who
understands where tax dollars
come from, and is wise with
money, and who understands how
entrepreneurs build businesses,
and how those businesses create
good government
Let’s vote for Hope and Change
