2. DatStat Illume™ - Modules
Illume features open architecture that streamlines the research process through full integration
with DatStat companion software or external products. The flexibility and power of Illume™ is
enhanced with the following modules:
Included with the Illume License
Data Import
Quota Module
Import your legacy data from other systems
into DatStat Illume. Data Import also
facilitates data recoding/modifications and
removal of variables or submissions.
Set your own criteria – including multiple
considerations – to control the number of
participants who are allowed to take a
survey.
Add-on Modules
Remote Data Collection (RDC)
Allows interviewers (CAPI) and respondents (CASI) to enter survey data on mobile computers
even without an Internet connection. Illume’s server synchronization process will securely
transfer all data back to the server once the mobile computer is back online. Microsoft
Windows required.
Multilingual Module
Present your survey in up to 100 different languages, while maintaining all responses in a single
dataset. Illume supports any left-to-right language and is designed to work with third-party
translation vendors or your own in-house translators. You can launch a single survey – allowing
participants to choose a language – or create multiple, single-language surveys.
Data Change
Study and clinical staff can quickly and easily change survey and form data without the need for
an export and re-import. This saves time and money on data cleanup for newly collected data.
It also assists with updating of existing data for better quality and consistency over time.
Software Development Kit (SDK)
If your organization has robust IT infrastructure, then the SDK will allow your developers to
leverage the Illume API for easy integration into existing data infrastructure. The SDK provides
programmatic access to the Illume™ application and database, enabling a broad range of
custom capabilities between the survey data in Illume™ and other systems in your
organization’s environment.
