Like Google, you can see how Bing’s search results farther out have key words from our query farther left of right in most cases.
The same approach can be taken with job category, state or job title. (with title reiterate the advantage of using the keyword tool so that companies use titles job seekers are searching for vs. internal company job titles) Including keywords in the page URL can also be useful – but again be sure to leverage the keyword tool and avoid using company jargon
For example, IBM uses IBM.comfor all of their online content. However, if a candidate searches “IT sales jobs,” it is highly unlikely that Google will present IBM.comas a relevant result, especially if their jobs cannot be seen by search engines. What if IBM had a subset of its listings available on ibm-itsales.jobsthat Google could find? Not only do the most critical keywords appear right in the domain, but they are also found within the content of the pages making them easy to index and incredibly RELEVANT as a result. The objective is to not only appear in the search results, but to rank as highly as possible to be seen by job seekers who are not looking specifically for you.

Matt Cutts, the head of Google’s web spam team, has said many times on his blog and elsewhere that domain extensions do not affect SEO. The reason for choosing a certain domain extension should be based on other non-SEO factors. For instance, .com sites are easier to remember because they are the standard extension. However, .org sites are sometimes viewed as being more trustworthy. Don’t base your decision when choosing your domain extension simply on some SEO misconception. Rather, focus on getting your keyword in your domain, purchase the more affordable option, or the one that you believe your visitors will trust and like most.
