Learning Objectives; To develop understanding of the difference between the levels of success of a Diploma project and how to achieve a high level mark To be able to identify where the PLTS skills have been used this term. Learning Outcomes; By the end of the lesson: ALL OF YOU will have completed some items on the checklist. MOST OF YOU will have improved the standard of your work. A FEW OF YOU will have completed most items on the checklist and improved the standard of your work.
 
 
Learning Objective 1;  Interactive document on history of Performance. Mark Band 1  (1 – 4 marks);  ..a limited investigation..a small amount of examples..an unelaborated outline..limited references. Mark Band 2  (5 – 7 marks); ..a competent investigation..a moderate amount of material..some attention to detail Mark Band 3  (8 – 10 marks); ..a well focused and well ranging investigation..a good quantity of highly relevant material..a detailed description..substantially covers the development..takes an explanatory approach to the factors which have influenced change.
Learning Objective 2 ; Planning of the Performance. Blogs. Notes. Pitch. Production schedule. Sketches. Meetings. ETC! Mark Band 1  (1 – 4 marks); Limited contributions..explores ideas to a limited extent. Mark Band 2  (5 – 7 marks); Makes a competent contribution..explores ideas to some extent. Mark Band 3  (8 – 10 marks); Makes a consistently effective and imaginative contribution..puts forward imaginative ideas, exploring them thoughtfully.

Mark Band 1  (0 - 8 marks); Carries out responsibilities with limited success..a limited ability to manage time and work to schedules. Mark Band 2  (9 - 14 marks); Carries out responsibilities competently..some ability to manage time..works to schedules most of the time. Mark Band 3  (15 - 20 marks); Carries out responsibilities with confidence and skill..manages time efficiently..works to schedules at all times.
Learning Objective 4 ; Monitor and evaluate. Self and peer assessment. Evaluations. Mark Band 1  (1 – 4 marks); Monitors progress infrequently and irregularly..makes limited use of the results..limited understanding of strengths and weaknesses. Mark Band 2  (5 – 7 marks); Monitors progress with some regularity..fairly effective use of results..some understanding of strengths and weaknesses. Mark Band 3  (8 – 10 marks); Monitors progress with regularity and care..consistently effective use of results..good understanding of strengths and weaknesses.
Self Assessment Task. Choose 1 of the Learning Objectives (preferably 1 that you have the evidence for here.) Assess yourself against the Mark Band specifications..which Band do you think you are in so far?
Swap with your partner. Assess your partner' s work against the Mark Band specifications. Do you agree with their assessment of themselves? What do you think they need to do to get into a higher mark band?
