This shot uses the
convention of a long
shot to help create
emphasis on the
artist, the shot also
builds suspense
during the intro of our
music video
3. IMAGE 2
The shot uses the
conventions of a
close up to draw
focus on the artist.
This is coupled with
matching what
happens in the lyrics
to the action in the
shot on the line ‘just
breathe’
4. IMAGE 3
This shot uses the
convention of directly
addressing the
audience, this helps
to grab the audiences
attention and make
them feel like they are
part of the video
5. IMAGE 4
This shot uses the
convention of
matching what is
happening in the
lyrics with what is in
the shot.
6. IMAGE 5
This shot shows both
the real Macklemore
and our actor, this is
done to link the video
to the real artist it
also isw used to
show Macklemores
dream thus using the
convention of
showing on screen
what is in the lyrics
7. IMAGE 6
This shot uses the
convention of
focusing on the artist,
to do this we used a
low key shot that only
reveals our
Macklemore and not
the soroundings.
8. IMAGE 7/8
These two shots are
connected together
chronologically and
show the transition
between the end of the
song to black as is the
convention in some
music videos, however
we challenge this by
showing the final line
of the song after the
fade, this also
happens to be the title
of his new album.
9. IMAGE 9
In this we used shots
similar to some shots
in the music video,
however we also
used other aspects
like the fireworks to
link to other songs.
This is quite common
in digipaks as people
often use one song to
be the front Pease of
the album.
10. IMAGE 10
In our magazine advert
we used the
conventions of
linking it to the album
and the music video,
we have also kept it
minimalistic to further
link it to the music
video.
