You have the task of creating a detailed marketing report for The Wood Advertising Agency
detailing the advertising at this year’s Super Bowl. You will research the Advertising Age,
Super bowl ads.com and USA Today web sites to find your information.

You must at least one article and describe at least one commercial. See below for details. Please
follow the directions below to create your report:

Before the Big Game:
1-Go to www.adage.com , www.yahoo.com, www.adweek.com and click on the Ad Age Covers
The Big Game on the right side of the page. (You can use other sources for superbowl
commercials just site them)
2- You will see a list of articles pertaining to Super Bowl advertising information.
3-Summarize three articles you find interesting about this year’s Super Bowl of advertising.
   You must include the article as well.
4-Go to blog (www.cwood2009.blogspot.com) and print out Who’s Buying What chart and
   include this also in your report. You can also reference http://adage.com/SuperBowlBuyers/
   for additional information.
5-Go to blog and find the 44 Years chart and print this as well.

After the Big Game:
7-Using this site or another, please watch and describe at least three commercials that you feel
   were the most effective during this year’s Super Bowl. Describe the commercial and explain
   why you think it was effective for $3 million.
8-Go to the USA Today website
   (http://www.usatoday.com/money/advertising/admeter/2010admeter.htm) and print out
   the Ad Meter Chart.

Please create a cover page, which includes a title, your name, my name, the class, the date, and a
picture, which represents the topic being reported.

Please include a table of contents which includes page numbers for all pages you create, and
please neatly put page numbers on the ones you print from the site. You must include the
articles that you summarize as well as the summaries themselves.

Please include a short bibliography as your last page which includes the sites, the authors of the
articles, the television network and any other source you use for this report. Finally include a
copy of the grading rubric. (Another good site is www.superbowl-ads.com you can view past
commercials and print out a voting sheet - SPOTBOWL)

  • 1. You have the task of creating a detailed marketing report for The Wood Advertising Agency detailing the advertising at this year’s Super Bowl. You will research the Advertising Age, Super bowl ads.com and USA Today web sites to find your information. You must at least one article and describe at least one commercial. See below for details. Please follow the directions below to create your report: Before the Big Game: 1-Go to www.adage.com , www.yahoo.com, www.adweek.com and click on the Ad Age Covers The Big Game on the right side of the page. (You can use other sources for superbowl commercials just site them) 2- You will see a list of articles pertaining to Super Bowl advertising information. 3-Summarize three articles you find interesting about this year’s Super Bowl of advertising. You must include the article as well. 4-Go to blog (www.cwood2009.blogspot.com) and print out Who’s Buying What chart and include this also in your report. You can also reference http://adage.com/SuperBowlBuyers/ for additional information. 5-Go to blog and find the 44 Years chart and print this as well. After the Big Game: 7-Using this site or another, please watch and describe at least three commercials that you feel were the most effective during this year’s Super Bowl. Describe the commercial and explain why you think it was effective for $3 million. 8-Go to the USA Today website (http://www.usatoday.com/money/advertising/admeter/2010admeter.htm) and print out the Ad Meter Chart. Please create a cover page, which includes a title, your name, my name, the class, the date, and a picture, which represents the topic being reported. Please include a table of contents which includes page numbers for all pages you create, and please neatly put page numbers on the ones you print from the site. You must include the articles that you summarize as well as the summaries themselves. Please include a short bibliography as your last page which includes the sites, the authors of the articles, the television network and any other source you use for this report. Finally include a copy of the grading rubric. (Another good site is www.superbowl-ads.com you can view past commercials and print out a voting sheet - SPOTBOWL) Thanks and have fun!
