3. A bit of History
Ed Lacobucci Founded Citrix in 1989 in Texas then moved to Florida
Lacobucci was IBM developer worked on Os/2 project.
Citrix was originally named as citrus.
Lacobucci original vision of built Multi user support
Citrix first product was call "citrix Multiview" based on OS/2.
Citrix developed "MultiWin" Technology, It later Licensed to Microsoft which
became basis of Terminal server.

DHCP & DNS:- Pooled desktops are based on a single master
image. As such, they are reliant upon DHCP for the delivery of a
unique network configuration. DNS is required by XenDesktop
and its supporting infrastructure for domain name resolution.
Active Directory:- XenDesktop utilizes Active Directory for
authentication and the enforcement of policy settings for both
users and computers.
