Policy
Interpretation of Competency Standards and Curriculum
Any anomaly, inconsistency, ambiguity, or query regarding Learning Programs, including
interpretation of competency standards and/or curriculum must be immediately discussed with
management and, if necessary, at a special meeting of the Curriculum Review Committee.

Should it become necessary to define the meaning of Competency standards (eg Training Package) or
Curriculum (eg Training Product), AICA Education will:

 Contact the developing body (eg Training & Assessment –
IBSA – Innovation and Business Skills Australia);or
 Contact the appropriate Industry Training Advisory Board or
Industry Training Advisory Council (eg Creative Industry Skills
Council); or
 Contact the Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Any changes to material should be made immediately and the adjusted documentation issued to all
persons concerned.
