The Cherokee Nation offers several scholarship opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. Eligibility is limited to Cherokee Nation tribal citizens. Undergraduate scholarships provide up to $2,000 per semester and have deadlines of June 11, 2010. The Registered Nursing Scholarship provides tuition, books, fees and required equipment for accepted nursing students who agree to work for the Cherokee Nation Health Facility for two years after graduation. The Directed Studies and Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute scholarships also have eligibility and funding requirements.
