3. Prinseneiland
Three tiny, hard-to-reach islands, unknown to most, form a little village
within Amsterdam Centre. Prinseneiland is the most beautifully restored

4. Brouwersgracht
Voted as ‘most beautiful street’ by the Amsterdammers in 2007, via local

5. Entrepotdok
Lined with former, well-kept ware houses this tranquil street boasts a most
unique view: of grazing giraffes and playing monkeys, residing in the Artis

6. Palestrinastraat
Under the cast of the majestic Roman Jacob Obrechtkerk lies a small street
with trees on both sides. Almost each chic house has its own architecture.

7. Rechte Boomsloot
Right off the Red Light District and the bustling Nieuwmarkt hides a
residential area with the most serene look and feel.

8. Brantasgracht
The canals running from north to south on Java island (Brantasgracht,
Lamonggracht, Majanggracht, Seranggracht) are lined with modern canal

A small gate with a long history. The alley ever lost its charms nor its
treasures hidden in books and behind doors.

Running from the Amstel river to the Amsterdam woods is the Kalfjeslaan.
Some lucky Amsterdammers have a detached house along the most green

Confession: I have never seen it with my own eyes, but the
Nieuwendammerdijk looks like it never evolved with time!
