Circles help you organize everyone according to your real life connections Hangouts let up to 10 people video conference at no charge Hangouts with Extras - this is a testbed for new features Stream lets you have conversations and share information with circles Search allows you to search Google+ posts, Google+ people, and the web Profile lets you control how you apear on Google services across the web Instant Upload automatically sends photos and videos to a private album Messenger allows you to bring people together for group mobile messaging Google+ Pages shared spaces for brands, organizations etc
Why Should I Care? 0 to 170m users in 1 year ~120 integrations with other Google products 850K Android activations per day Available with institutional Google Apps domains

Google+ for Apps Domains Optional - users have to sign up individually Can share posts with the whole domain, e.g. everyone at Loughborough University Circles != Groups Death of the VLE predicted :-)

Conclusions Google+ is "social spine", cutting across the whole range of Google services Nuanced approach to privacy and sharing Google are very keen to develop the service based on your feedback You (still) ain't seen nothing yet!
