2. Introduction
• Salesperson: Hi my name is _______. How

• Customer: I am interested in replacing my
pool liner.
• Salesperson: Great, all of our pool liners are
on sale today. In addition to receiving a very
low price on the liner, you can also qualify for

3. Qualification- Part 1
All questions below must be asked by the salesperson to give the customer
accurate information and so you will know how to proceed.
Q-Do you have an A/G or I/G pool?
A- If the customer responds with A/G you can proceed to the next question.
If they respond I/G your store manager has a form to fill out for a free in
home measurement.
Q- What size pool do you have?
A- The customer should know the dimensions of their pool. If they do not
know the dimensions we may have them on file provided they purchased a
pool or liner from us.

4. Qualification- Part 2
Semi-Inground vs. Above Ground, Rolled Wall vs. Slot Wall
Q-Is your pool completely A/G or is it Semi-Inground.
A-Depending how the customer answers the customer may have additional
installation charges. If the customer has a rolled wall Semi-Inground pool, the pool
will need to be excavated prior to installation. If they have a slot-wall Semi-Inground
we will install their liner. Slot wall pools consist of rigid interlocking panels. A rolled
wall pool is a one piece corrugated wall. Once emptied and the liner is removed a
rolled wall pool could potentially collapse. Slot wall pools are made by Aquasport or
Atlas.
A Free Site Survey is included with every liner purchase to ensure we can install the
liner

5. Qualification-Part 3
DECKS AND FENCES
Q- Do you have any decking or fencing around your pool?
A- If the customer has a deck or fence around the pool it makes the
installation of the liner more difficult. Because of this, the customer is
responsible of paying a surcharge to the installer depending upon how
difficult it is.
The fee could range from a few dollars for a small deck to $140 for a pool
with a complete aluminum deck and fence. If the customer removes the
deck or gives the installer at least 6” between the pool wall and the decking
they will not be responsible for a fee.
If the customer has a full wood walkaround deck they must remove the
planks. The installer will not install the liner even with the customer paying
the fee.

6. Qualification- Part 4
BEADED OR OVERLAP
Q- Does your pool liner overlap your pool wall or snap into a track system?
A- There are two different types of liners, Beaded or Overlap. The main
difference is whether or not the liner overlaps the pool wall. If the customer has
a beaded liner with a deck, they are not responsible to pay the deck fee
previously discussed. There are either standard beaded liners or Johny
Weismuller beaded liners.

7. FREE SITE SURVEY
• No matter how a customer qualifies, we WILL install their liner.
• Each Liner purchase with installation on the order will qualify for a FREE site survey
to ensure the following:
• Pool Size
• Bead Type
• Coping Type
• Skimmer Size
• Depth
• Deck Fees
• Semi In-ground Fees
• Rusted Hardware
• If any additional Fees will apply to the installation, the customer will know this
upfront and can opt to due some of the work themselves to save $$$
