COMENIUS PROJECT
Transversal Competences – Today´s Solution for Tomorrow´s Jobs
Comenius project, is European organized under European Union. Our project includes
four European states - Italy, Czech Republic, Turkey and Poland. Comenius has its own
plan including four meetings for chosen students from each country. I was part of 3
meetings - in Italy, Czech Republic and Poland. Unfortunately, I missed the fourth one in
Turkey because of my Maturita exam preparation.
Everything was about "European kid" and his journey from high school to work and his
own company. European kid could be anyone of us and that was the point of the project.
Every single thing was really useful and gave some valuable experience and new options
for future life. We learnt something about foreign cultures, school systems, traditions
etc. We also found a way how to prepare ourselves for job interview in English and met
great guys. That was the most important thing. We were forced to speak English during
the whole week and I earned more experience than presentations gave me there.
There was the first meeting in Padova in Italy. Each country presented their school
system by "handmade" presentation and we made project logo and motto and got the
first experience with international cooperation.
Czech Republic was second host country and here we showed our school to other
students and I hope they liked it. Every country prepared presentation about their well-
known personality and then we filled some questionnaires and showed beauties of
Morava to our guests.

My last stay was in Lublin in Poland and there I prepared myself for a job interview,
played funny games with other guys, had a drama lesson with pretty crazy teacher (no
offense :) ) and built the Euro Machine with our bodies. Poland was the best from all
meetings. We had really great time there. In my opinion, the reason why I enjoyed
Poland is simple. We, Czechs, are close to Poland and we are something like brothers.
But I have to say that all stays were amazing.
One more thing - we did a lot of work among the meetings at our school, under the
guidance of Mrs Vlkova and I appreciate her striving. I'm grateful for the possibility to
join Comenius group!
