MODULE 1 - Biological Rhythms of life by class 1m
Due to “Comenius Project – I feel good”, our tasks are to make a few modules, which
encourages us to work in groups and be opened to other people . Module 1 was about Biological
rhythms of life. We had to prepare multimedia presentation, worksheets and present it to classes.
Firstly, we had got to know what we really need to do and what the biological rhytms of life
are? Biological rhythms are a field of biology that examines periodic (cyclic) phenomena in living
organisms and their adaptation to solar- and lunar-related rhythms. Individual rhythms are circadian,
infradian and ultradian. Every of these is very important to our life and it is good to know why.
When we already had all materials we were ready to divide work between us. After some
weeks we did everything and we set the date of official presentation of our task. On March 22nd
, we
visited class 1b to show them what we have done. We started presentation and discussed about the
biological rhythms. Our lesson began with introduction of the topic. Next point, which was circadian
rhythms, was presented by Anita. She told about influence of these rhythms and presented some
examples of them. Second, infradian rhyrhm, was discussed by Martyna. She said what kinds of
infradian rhythms are the most common and how they work. She even explained why are we sad and
depressed in winter. The last onen - ultradian, presented Gosia. She has made it closer due to telling
about basic cycles occur in our bodies. She also said what changes in moods we can observe. We also
played a movie about body clocks and sent worksheets to students to check their knowedge.
Everything had been documented by Martyna. She made some photos which have filled all
task. The worksheets will be checked until all students have sent back these papers. The whole
Module 1 is already done.
