6. ITALIAN CONCLUSIONS
From the survey in our school about the eating habits of teen agers (all classes
from first to last year… 14 to 19-year-old students) we understand that going to
fast food restaurants is not a practice for the students (low frequency), but it is
custom for them eating at home every day (high frequency) and eating traditional
dishes at a Restaurant on special occasions, for example on holiday.
Fast food restaurants are not very widespread in our area but if the students go
there, there are two main reasons:
•The opportunity to socialize
•The opportunity to taste fast foods;
On the other hand, many boys and girls appreciate grandma's special dishes.
Very popular and widespread, however, is the consumption of the drink "coca
cola", while among the most popular foods there are pasta, meat and pizza.
In Italy pizza is not only “take away food” but traditional food that you can eat
in a restaurant or pizzeria.
