2. Congratulations
Your project has been included in this problem based action
learning model for semester 1 2010
Across the TQR campuses there are more than 40 people and
teams who are working on reinvigorating their current work
practices in the areas of e-learning, assessment and
instructional design.
These people are from more than 20 industry training areas
and are working with colleagues across the TQR campuses
by connecting and collaborating across Institute locations.
3. What you have done!
1. You should now have met with your project facilitator and
completed the action plan and obtained your managers
signature
2. It is also a good idea to have completed the relevant PD
documentation used in your Institute and filed this with your HR
department (attaching your Project PALM action plan to this
form) this will then record this PD on your Aurion profile
3. If you are claiming money against this PD activity, there should
also be a casual contract set up with your manager so that you
can claim these PD funds on completion of the project
outcomes
4. Started the project PALM action plan activities based on your
April, May June to do list
4. How we will now support you!
Our job as the project facilitators is now to work with you by
linking you with relevant support personnel and or schedule
learning and development sessions with you
Note: There will also be generic L&D sessions offered by the
Project PALM team to all TQR staff over the next couple of
months that could also be useful for you to attend. E.g
videostreaming, iConnect, my.tafe information and learning
sessions aligned with e-learning, assessment and instructional
design
These will be sent out as broadcasts through your HR unit and also
suggested by your Project PALM facilitators where relevant to
your project aims
5. What do you now need to do?
Work on your project outcomes
Keep in touch with your facilitator if you have
any issues
Record any learning/issues in your PD
project so that this can be used as part of the
evaluation process that we will complete with
you in June 2010
6. What you will need to do if you are being
funded!
Don’t forget to keep track of the hours you
are spending on this project so that your
claims for payment can be accurately
recorded.
As the acquittal process for these projects
needs to be completed by the 24th
June 2010
7. How will we report on this project and its outcomes!
In June we will be talking with all project participants
using a variety of communication strategies so that
we can capture what has worked for you, what
issues you have experienced , what could be
improved in this problem based learning approach
and where to for you in terms of PD in semester 2.
Your participation in this review process is
compulsory and will be co-ordinated with you by
your Project PALM facilitator and project manager.
8. Once again… we would like to congratulate you for
making the time and having the energy to be
involved in this cross Institute PD approach and
your manager for supporting your involvement in
this different approach to PD for you.
We look forward to you publicising and sharing all of
the learning’s from your project with your TQR
colleagues and the wider TAFE Qld network as part
of our June reporting activities
